yearONE, LLC is a Texas Tech University accelerated spin-out company based upon Dr. Changzhi Li’s research. yearONE, LLC is developing a radar based, lighting/HVAC occupancy sensor for commercial buildings. This will enable commercial buildings to save on their “Triple Bottom Line”: people, profits and planet. They successfully completed acceleration through the Kinetic Accelerator Program, GLEAMM Spark Funding, NSF I-Corps National Cohort, and NSF STTR Phase 1 awards.

PowerAce

PowerAce is a Texas Tech University accelerated company based upon Dr. Sajjad Abedi and Dr. Miao He’s research. PowerAce is a software tool that analyzes electric grid power flow more accurately, which results in more efficient dissemination of energy resources, improving the reliability of power dispatch and saving in operation costs for electric utilities, market operators and consumers. They successfully completed acceleration through regional NSF I-Corps training, and NSF I-Corps National Cohort.
